Elektro Seebacher was established on 7 October 1986 at Gmund am Tegernsee. The company initially handled small installation projects. Over time, the focus increasingly shifted towards design and production of control systems, with particular emphasis on lighting control, wiring of NC automatic lathes, and frequency converter controllers for a wide range of applications. Our lighting control activities have been particularly successful, and we now act as system provider. On 1 January 1993 the company changed its name and status to Seebacher GmbH. The premises of the head office in Gmund soon became too small, and on 1 March 1993 the company relocated to Bad Tölz. In order to meet the increasing demand for even more flexible solutions, we decided to commission the development of the ISYBUS system and subsequently the ISYGLT system, for which we have exclusive distribution rights. We expect the BUS systems to enable us to maintain our success in the international market. In November 1998 we signed a lease for the upper floor of the head office building, now occupied by the design and administration sections. In July 2003 we further optimised our warehousing and logistics operations. The ground floor was fully refurbished and is now occupied by the warehouse and the dispatch section. We also created an additional demonstration and meeting room. We design, size, develop and produce control systems for building automation.
What exactly does building automation involve? The collective term "building automation" includes any aspects of a building that can be automated or controlled more conveniently or securely. These include:
- Light management > Switching and dimming of lights, daylight-dependent control, decorative lighting, coloured light control
- Blind management > Optimum glare protection depending on sun position, light guidance, gathered curtains, darkening, shading
- Water management > Optimisation of water consumption in public facilities, pay-on-demand water dispensation (showers), thermal disinfection (Legionella)
- HVAC control > Heating control based on external temperature and actual demand, individual room control, combined operation of underfloor heating, radiators and chilled ceilings
- Conference room and display device control > Automatic control of presentation functions, DVD or CD player, video recorder, tuner, projector and professional studio equipment
- Drive control > Switching and control motors, positioning of light fixtures and microphone gear
- Visualisation > Optical signalling and display of building states via touchpanel, PC or text display > Information relating to switching states, brightness, weather data, error messages, movement detection in different sections of the building, temperatures, and other parameters
- Energy optimisation
- Remote maintenance of building control systems
