1-channel Relay Coupler with advance tungsten contact in DIN rail-mounting housing for switching very high inrush currents, especially with ECGs. Switching on luminaires with integrated ECGs can lead to very high switch-on peaks. A closing contact bounces a few times until it has closed properly. This creates electric arcs which can melt or destroy the contact surface slightly. If the closed contact cools down, welding occurs (and the contact remains stuck). In order to avoid sticking, relays with a leading tungsten contact are used. This allows inrush currents for incandescent lamps of 160 A / 20ms or for fluorescent lamps of 780 A / 200µs to be switched.
