The new large foyer with glass walls invites everyone to come in

In September 2022, the Protestant parish in Miesbach opened its new parish hall with a glass foyer. Built alongside the Apostelkirche church in the heart of Miesbach, it is a lively place where people come together every day. An open space for projects, groups and initiatives of all kinds. The Inclusion Café Lila takes place every Thursday morning, where pupils from the Hausham special needs centre welcome and entertain their guests with warmth and lots of fun.

The idea of creating a meeting place is a success. Where 200 guests a week used to visit the centre before the renovation, the volunteer hosts now welcome an average of 800 people a week. The church community has thrown its doors wide open and people have come.

The successful premises were realised by Wegmann architects and CE Späth (lighting design). Seebacher was entrusted with the lighting control.

Convincing lighting moods

The partially glazed room thrives on the daylight mood and its special location directly on the former outer wall of the church. On the wooden panelling on the side wall of the church, there are linear indirect luminaires that brighten up the ceiling. The three lighting modules - wall, ceiling and direct light - allow the room to be experienced in different lighting moods.

Special mini wallwashers were integrated into the ceiling construction to provide atmospheric illumination of the former exterior wall of the church. The direct part of the room lighting is provided by linear LED luminaires. These provide basic illumination and task lighting. All luminaires in the room provide two light colours - warm evening light and daylight.

A place made for getting together

Delicious breakfasts, coffee & tea and small treats are regularly served in the foyer of the Bunte Haus.

The entire room lighting is operated via a Wall Touch with predefined lighting scenes on the left-hand side wall of the open-plan kitchen. Particular attention was paid to intuitive and user-friendly operation, as the room is intended to fulfil its role as a multi-purpose space.

Lighting scenes can be created and saved in the control unit. These can be easily selected by the user via the touch display and adjusted in brightness or colour temperature as required. The predefined scene (values for the different light sources) is retained.

Stage free

A stage is available for a varied programme. This is illuminated by downlights in either cool or warm white: All lights are glare-free and suitable for lectures and readings.
