The DALI-02EM Controller is used to control lamps with DALI-based coloured light control. Light colour and brightness can be set separately via pushbuttons. The module has an integrated DALI power supply and a relay for reducing the standby power of lamps less than 0.5W. It is designed as a lamp installation module with a very small design.
Basic functions:
- circadian control (Tunable white) or 2 DALI groups
- DALI broadcast or addressing >> group control
- reduction of the cold white group (only in circadian operation, because cold white LEDs are usually somewhat brighter than warm white LEDs)
Functions
Selection of DALI ECGs
We recommend DALI ECGs with a PHYSICAL MINIMUM LEVEL smaller than or equal to 1%. The DALI ECGs are automatically parameterized by the Controller after switching on the operating voltage of the Controller (MIN-LEVEL, MAX-LEVEL, FADE-TIME, POWER-ON-LEVEL, SYSTEM-FAILURE-LEVEL). We assume that the DALI ECGs have implemented and are set to the "DALI standard dimming curve". The Controller can be used to control circadian lamps (warm / cold) or to control two single circuits (setting DIP switch 2). The Controller can be operated in 2 DALI modes (DIP switch 3):
In "broadcast mode" (DIP switch 3 = OFF), addressing of the ECGs is not necessary since the DALI ECGs are addressed in broadcast mode (DALI output 1 = "warm" or channel 1; DALI output 2 = "cold" or channel 2).
In "group mode" (DIP switch 3 = ON) the groups must be set at the used DALI ECGs with an external tool. The LEDs with "warm light colour" or circuit 1 are to be connected to the ECGs with group 0 and the LEDs with "cold light colour" or circuit 2 are to be connected to the ECGs with group 1. Both groups are output at both DALI outputs. Thus 32 ECGs can be connected in total.
To reduce the standby current of the system, the relay can be connected. The relay switches on as soon as at least one of the two DALI outputs or one of the DALI groups is switched on. It is switched off when both DALI outputs or both DALI groups are switched off for at least 30 seconds.
